Great News!
We now have a new app available to download for the Latin Mass Society in Cardiff. Unfortunately this app is only for Android devices at the moment, but watch this space for an iOS app. Please send me an email with some feedback and/or if you have any issues.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING BEFORE INSTALLING
Don’t worry, as this app is not currently on the Google Play Store you have to do something more before installing.
1. After you have downloaded the file on your Android device, drag down the notifications bar (for mobiles: the bar at the top of the phone – for tablets: the bar in the bottom right) you will notice there is a file called “LMS_Cardiff.apk” there…leave this for now an proceed to the next step
2. Go into your device’s settings (this varies on each Android – on later versions drag the notifications bar to revile the settings icon.
3. Click on security and then locate “Unknown Sources” and click it…a warning will appear, click OK to ignore this, it will be fine. This setting is in place to protect your device from harmful apps (apps you don’t recognise), although this app is not harmful your device will only accept apps from the Google Play Store. This will allow the app to install on your device. If a message pops up asking you which installer to use use “Package Installer”.
4. REMEMBER: After the app has installed, go yo your android settings, slick security, slick on Unknown Sources to turn the setting off. This will put your device back to normal, but with the LMS Cardiff app installed…look out for the logo on your app screen.
We hope to include this app on the Google Play Store soon, but although the app might be free, putting it onto the Google Play Store is not.
